Increasing Chance of Solar Flares
Attached image by the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO) using the 131 angstroms channel captures a very impulsive M1.4 solar flare around region 2080 at 19:31 UTC Friday. Because of this sunspot, along with rapidly developing regions 2082 and 2085, the chances for additional solar flares are on the rise. M-Class 30% and X-Class 10%. Stay Tuned.

Farside Flare and CME
A coronal mass ejection is seen leaving the farside of the sun this morning in the latest STEREO coronagraph imagery. This was the result of a solar flare in the vicinity of old regions 2065 and 2074. We will begin to see these potentially active regions beginning early next week.
